Last week, our Year 1 and Year 2 children at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon led a beautiful Celebration of the Wordfocusing on the Epiphany — the feast day that remembers the visit of the Three Wise Men to the baby Jesus.

Celebrating the Epiphany Together

During the celebration, the children reflected on the journey of the Magi, who followed the star to Bethlehem and brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Their readings were thoughtful, clear and reverent, showing great understanding of this special moment in the Liturgical Year.

A Lovely Family Celebration

One of the highlights of the celebration was seeing older siblings involved and supporting the younger children. It was a wonderful reminder of the strong sense of family and community at St Joseph’s.

We were delighted to see the school hall filled with families who came to share in this prayerful and joyful celebration. Your presence made the occasion even more meaningful.

Well Done, Year 1 and 2!

We are incredibly proud of our pupils for the confidence, expression and care they showed throughout the Celebration of the Word.

Thank you to everyone who joined us — it was a truly special moment for our school community.
