Pupils and staff at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon, Bishop Auckland are celebrating an exceptional sporting achievement, as one of their pupils has been crowned a national champion.
National Success in Liverpool
This weekend, Mia travelled to Liverpool to compete in the National Gymnastics Championships after qualifying among the very best gymnasts in the country.
Mia secured her place as one of just 36 finalists selected from an impressive 211 Bronze-level gymnasts, highlighting the high standard of competition and her achievement in reaching the national stage.
Crowned National Champion
We are delighted to announce that Mia was crowned National Champion, taking 1st place overall in her category.
In addition to winning the title, Mia also achieved the highest overall score of the entire competition for her age group, making her performance even more remarkable.
A Truly Outstanding Achievement
Mia’s success is a testament to her hard work, dedication, resilience and determination. Her commitment to training and continual improvement has clearly paid off at the highest level of competition.
