Durham Dance FestivalChildren from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Coundon, took to the stage yesterday with an inspiring performance at the Durham Dance Festival—an event that brought together young performers from across the region.

In the weeks leading up to the festival, our Year 1/2 class worked with great enthusiasm and determination, practising their routine together to ensure they were ready for the big moment. Their hard work certainly paid off.

Teachers and staff who attended the event were glowing with pride, praising the children for their confidence, resilience, and joyful spirit as they performed in front of a live audience. Despite their young age, the pupils demonstrated maturity and teamwork throughout the day, representing St Joseph’s with exemplary behaviour.

“We think they did so well, showing such confidence and resilience to perform in front of an audience,” staff said. “Their behaviour was exemplary. Well done to every single one of you!”

A huge congratulations to all the children involved—you danced brilliantly and made the whole school proud.
