With glitter, colourful outfits and lots of enthusiasm, children and staff headed to the Early Years area for an afternoon filled with dancing, singing and fun.
Pirate Bubble Dance Party Brings Lunchtime Fun to St Joseph’s
There is never a dull moment at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon, and this week was no exception as pupils enjoyed a surprise Pirate Bubble Dance Party at lunchtime! The school playground was transformed into a sea of bubbles, music and excitement as Pirate Rob and the team from Positive Pirates CICbrought their bubble machines and DJ decks along for a fun-filled celebration.
Year 6 Pupils Enjoy Memorable Residential Adventure
Year 6 pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon, County Durham, returned from a memorable three-day residential visit after taking part in a wide range of outdoor activities that challenged them, built confidence and created lasting memories ahead of their move to secondary school. The residential began with an exciting session on the giant swing. Although some pupils felt nervous at first, everyone embraced the challenge and enjoyed the thrill of reaching new heights.

Each pupil approached the competition with enthusiasm and determination, giving their best effort in every event.

During the visit, the children had the opportunity to pet and feed a variety of farm animals, giving them a close‑up look at life on a working farm. Pupils also learned about the important role of farmers, helping them understand where food comes from and how animals are cared for.

Pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School were given a glimpse into their future aspirations this week as representatives from Durham University spent the afternoon working with Year 5 and Year 6.
