We were delighted to welcome a special visitor to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon as we recently hosted an inspiring artist visit.
A huge thank you to Jaci Stroud – artist, illustrator, and author – for spending the day with us and sharing her creativity with our pupils.
Throughout the day, each class enjoyed taking part in a range of creative art activities, experimenting with different media including charcoal and powder watercolours. The artwork was inspired by Jaci’s book, The Elephant and the Bee, written in support of Save the Elephants.
The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring new artistic techniques and working creatively in response to the story. It was a fantastic day, full of creativity and experimentation, and a wonderful experience for our whole school community.
