Our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon were treated to an unforgettable careers session all about the world of aviation! We were delighted to welcome Stuie from Simfly – Virtual Global Flying, who spent the day sharing his incredible knowledge, enthusiasm, and first‑hand experience of life in the aviation industry.
Stuie, Director and Chief Flying Instructor on the Boeing 737‑800 flight simulator — and Tees Valley Entrepreneur of the Year — gave our pupils an inspiring insight into what it takes to work in this exciting field. His passion for aviation shone through as he spoke about flying, training, and the many roles that help keep the skies safe and operational.
The children were captivated as they learned about the skills, teamwork, and dedication involved in aviation careers. From pilots and cabin crew to engineers and support teams, pupils discovered a wide range of pathways they could aspire to in the future.
We are extremely grateful to Stuie for giving up his time and encouraging our pupils to aim high and believe in their potential. ✨
Who knows — perhaps this visit has sparked the dreams of some future pilots, cabin crew members, or aviation engineers right here at St Joseph’s!
Thank you, Stuie, for an inspiring day!
