Year 4 pupils from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coundon recently enjoyed another exciting opportunity to take part in a hands‑on science lesson at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form in Bishop Auckland.

During the visit, the children took part in a range of practical science activities, exploring scientific ideas in an engaging and enjoyable way. The pupils showed great enthusiasm throughout the session and enjoyed applying their learning in a new environment using resources available at the secondary school.

Experiences such as this support pupils’ curiosity and confidence in science while also giving them valuable insight into what learning will look like as they move on to the next stage of their education within the trust. The visit helped pupils feel positive and excited about their future learning journey.

St Joseph’s would like to say a big thank you to everyone at St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form for welcoming our pupils and providing such a fantastic learning experience.
